The next step is preparing for your classes. We have all the info ready for you-everything from getting to class, to reviewing your schedule, and more.
Access Your Lesley Email
- A Lesley email address has been assigned to you, and appears on your Enrollment Confirmation Letter. From this point forward, all university electronic communication will be sent to you at this address, so be sure to check your account frequently. Your password is the same one you’ve been using to check on the status of your documents during the admissions process. If you did not activate your account yet, you may do so now by visiting our password management site.
Set Up Your Electronic Accounts
- Access your myLesley account
- This online course portal is where you can access class syllabi, assignments, online discussion boards, and library resources.
- Access your Self-Service account
- This is where you can find administrative information regarding your class schedules, grades, financial aid, and more. You will also use Self-Service to register for your courses.
Connect With Your Advisor, Register for Classes, and Report Your Massachusetts Educator Licensure
- If you have any questions, you should reach out to your advisor. Their contact information can be found on your Enrollment Confirmation Letter. Or, you can reach out to us at advising@lesley.edu for help.
- To register for courses, you should log in to your Self-Service account.
- All educator licensure candidates are required to report a MEPID to Lesley University. You will want to set up your electronic account with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and submit your MEPID.
Educator Licensure and Certification
The Certification and Licensure Office can help you with educator licensure, including becoming a licensed educator, renewing a teacher license, and transferring a license between states.
MTEL (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure)
If you’re enrolled in an initial licensure program, you’ll be required to take and pass the MTEL during your studies. You’ll want to discuss your program’s MTEL policies with your assistant director of academic advising at the beginning of your program.
Obtain your ID card and purchase textbooks
- Lesley ID cards may be obtained at the Doble Public Safety Office at 34 Mellen Street in Cambridge, MA. ID cards are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- All textbooks are available at the Lesley University Bookstore. Your textbooks can also be delivered to your home or you can order them online to buy or rent on several websites. If purchasing a textbook is a hardship for you, please speak to your advisor and your professor to come up with a solution.
You should purchase your textbook before classes start and no later than the end of the first day of classes.
