This section provides general information on how to maintain legal F-1 status. In addition, continue to read all emails sent by the Lesley International Student Advisor and Lesley International Student Services (iss@lesley.edu) for immigration related updates. The Department of States Study in the States website also provides I-20 and F-1 information.
Please Note: A non-immigrant, including those on F-1 status, found to be engaging in any criminal activity following admission to the United States that endangers public safety, or national security, is subject to deportation. This includes taking part in activities that promote or involve violence or destruction of property, or activities that advocate for the use of force, violence, or other unlawful means in opposition to the government of the United States, which encompasses intelligence gathering or recruitment efforts by persons or organizations acting on behalf of a foreign government. Please also note that US Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) may request to review transcripts during H-1B, Optional Practical Training (OPT) or permanent residency petitions.
New students may check this section of our website for general I-20 and F-1 information before they are issued the Lesley I-20.
