Our annual Campus Activity Day, held at the start of each academic year, is your chance to meet new people and explore all of Lesley’s clubs and student groups. Joining a club or another student-run organization on campus is an opportunity to try out new things, dig deep into a passion you know you love, or complement and deepen your academic studies. It’s just another way Lesley helps you gain new skills, expand your horizons, and build your personal and professional networks.

Student Organization Registration & Requirements

Registering your new or existing student organization with the University allows your group to access a range of supports and resources, enlist new members, and be part of Lesley’s Student Activities Fair. See below for a helpful guide to registering your club and the criteria for leading and participating in student organizations at Lesley.

At the start of each academic year, student organizations must engage in a registration process. The first step is to email Student Activities at studentactivities@lesley.edu and let them know of your plans.

  • To re-register your student organization, you:
  • Meet with your faculty/staff advisor
  • Attend the All Club President’s meeting
  • Submit an Organization Registration Form
  • Establish goals and outline possible programs for the academic year
  • Submit an updated copy of the organization’s constitution
  • Complete the Anti-Hazing Form
  • Submit a membership list

No matter how unique your club idea may be, you’ll likely find others at Lesley who are just as excited as you are to make it happen. Email studentactivities@lesley.edu to ask to receive more information, learn about our process and get started with you new organization!

To participate in student organizations, members must be current Lesley students in good academic standing. This means they meet Satisfactory Academic Progress and Good Judicial Standing requirements. If a club member doesn’t meet this criteria, their membership may be revoked at the discretion of the Dean of Students.

In addition to maintaining good academic standing, student leaders must hold a minimum 2.0 GPA. Those who aren’t in good standing may be placed in probationary status for the remainder of the semester and will be ineligible for any open leadership roles.

Student organizations must be open to all Lesley University students. In alignment with the University’s Discrimination and Harassment Policy, organizations cannot discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, ability, class, marital status, family status, military or veteran status, citizenship status, or any other protected identity.
