Lesley’s campuses are in the midst of a transformative $100 million renovation project designed to ensure our facilities match the excellence of our academic programs.

Campus Renovations and Future Vision
Transforming Our Campuses for the Future

On the South Campus we have completed a myriad of state-of-the-art improvements.
- The historic Reed and Burnham Halls have been fully upgraded to include a new Support Hub for students.
- The Tyler Room is now equipped with cutting-edge technology, and a grand conference room with stunning historic trussing.
- Sherrill Hall re-opened early 2025 after the addition of two floors featuring vibrant gathering spaces, a reading lounge, multiple gaming rooms, and an esports area.
- Rousmaniere House and Kidder House dormitories received comprehensive interior renovations, including remodeled bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and shared common areas.
- Lawrence Hall dormitory’s kitchen, laundry room and gathering spaces were fully remodeled and upgraded and all room spaces received a refresh.

As part of the campus revitalization, landscaping was transformed into accessible gathering areas for activities like basketball, ping pong, and bocce ball, alongside tranquil green spaces for reflection. Students also had the chance to actively participate in the project by planting the octagonal garden outside Washburn Commons.
Lastly, St. John’s Chapel is currently under construction and is slated to become a state-of-the-art performing arts space by February 2026.

At the central Doble Campus, Lesley is transforming into a “learning by doing” hub through new partnerships with organizations and employers. Lesley Scholar Partner, Riverside Community Care, has established an on-campus mental health clinic on-site, with efforts underway to add more collaborative tenants.
The Porter campus has been upgraded with new offices and meeting spaces, and the former retail space has been renovated into a welcoming café, seminar rooms, and facilities for enrollment and athletics.
Off-campus, Lesley is partnering with Minuteman High School to host its NCAA Division III teams in their cutting-edge sports facilities, marking the first time Lesley has played on home fields and courts in its history.
Looking Ahead
As we enter our next phase, continued renovations will focus on creating a more student-centric experience. Plans include updates to St. John’s Chapel and central performance areas, featuring new green screens and flexible gathering spaces. We are also exploring additional upgrades to enhance campus connectivity and community.
Currently, many campus buildings bear the names of previous owners. We are working to unify our campuses under a new recognition system that reflects our current community—honoring our history while shaping our future.
