From Our Classroom to Yours 

The need for highly qualified and dedicated teachers has never been greater.  At Lesley, we work with school districts throughout Massachusetts and New England to support educator development.  As a Lesley Scholar Partner, your team members can pursue licensure while remaining employed and aspiring educators can explore pathways to become licensed teachers. 

Here’s how the program works: 

• Guaranteed Internships: Upon admission to Lesley, students electing an internship with your school, or employees currently working there who seek licensure, would receive guaranteed field placements with you.
• Student Employment and Education: Students who enroll as a Lesley Scholar at your school would be hired by your school or district as a paraprofessional or teaching assistant. They’ll  also take courses at Lesley, attending face-to-face or virtual classes during evenings or weekends thereafter.
• Financial Partnership: We provide our Lesley Scholars with a highly competitive financial aid package.
• Practicum Support: You would assist students with their state-mandated practicum by placing them with a mentor teacher who holds the appropriate credentials (or their equivalent in other states). . Lesley would provide a curriculum to guide students through their practicum experience.
• Priority Hiring: Upon program completion, you agree that your Lesley Scholars would receive priority consideration for job opportunities within their newly acquired license area.
• Current employees: Employees are eligible to take advantage of our generous financial aid packages for both bachelor’s degree completion programs, as well as our Master’s degree programs.   

Lesley Scholars join a supportive cohort of fellow Lesley students, which means they’ll receive mentoring and a range of support throughout their time with you – and beyond.

Bringing Talented Students to Your Clinic or Center 

It’s no secret that the mental health field faces a dire shortage of trained, skilled, and compassionate workers. At Lesley, we’re helping to fill the gap by creating opportunities to recruit talented and motivated students to work at exceptional non-profit mental health organizations as interns.  

Here’s how the program works: 

• Guaranteed Internships: Students who enroll as your Lesley Scholars would receive guaranteed field placements within your organization offering hands-on yet closely structured experience in the mental health and well-being space. Throughout, students would be mentored closely by Lesley faculty, ensuring they gain practical skills, develop professional insights and contribute meaningfully to your organization.
• Financial Partnership: Lesley provides its Lesley Scholars with a highly competitive financial aid package, and we would collaborate with you to arrange for students to receive financial support during their time working with you.
• Priority Hiring: Upon program completion, you agree that your Lesley Scholars would receive priority consideration for job opportunities within their newly acquired license area. 

Lesley Scholars join a supportive cohort of fellow students, which means they’ll receive mentoring and a range of support throughout their time with you – and beyond.

Tap into the Creativity of Lesley’s Students and Faculty 

Lesley’s artists & designers are here to partner with you on critical creative projects that support your organization and drive real change. 

Through our Community Studios Program which pairs outside organizations to classroom assignments, Lesley students have worked with hospitals, museums, human service organizations, and more, on projects ranging from rebranding and website design to photography and environmental graphics to animated set designs.  

Our Scholar Partner Program offers the following benefits to students who participate:

• Guaranteed Internships: Lesley Scholars will secure structured, hands-on placements in your organization, with close mentorship from Art & Design faculty ensuring they develop core skills, gain industry insights, and make meaningful contributions to your projects.
• Financial Support: Lesley offers competitive financial aid packages, and we will collaborate with you to help students access additional funding during their internships.
• Priority Hiring: Graduating Lesley Scholars will receive priority consideration for job openings within your organization, aligned with the expertise and skills obtained while working within your organization.

Creating Opportunities for Neurodiverse Employees  

We are proud to connect neurodiverse learners from our Threshold Programs to employment opportunities with area employers. When you partner with us to hire Threshold students, you make a meaningful difference in their lives, while also gaining access to a motivated pool of employees who are closely supported and mentored by Lesley faculty and staff. It’s a win-win for our students and the organizations that engage them.  

Here’s how the program works: 

• Guaranteed Internships: Students who enroll as your Threshold Scholars would receive guaranteed internships in your organization, and would be mentored closely by Lesley’s Threshold  faculty and staff throughout this internship.
• Ongoing Support: Threshold Scholars receive ongoing support from our career services staff during their internship to ensure they are receiving the best advice and guidance to excel in their roles, while also providing the internship site with tailored support to help neurodiverse individuals thrive in their workplace environment.
• Priority Hiring: Upon program completion, you agree that your Threshold Scholars would receive priority consideration for appropriate full-time job opportunities.
