Inspire a love of learning in young children.
You’ve completed your associate degree and you want to continue on to a bachelor’s degree. At Lesley University, we’ve made it easy for you to do just that. Earn your bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Studies with convenient classes through one of our community college partnerships. Take Lesley courses at the Bunker Hill Community College campus in Charlestown, Massachusetts or at the Urban College of Boston campus.
With an associate degree under your belt, you’ve already earned 60 or more credits that you can apply toward your 120-credit bachelor’s degree. We'll take up to 90 transfer credits from your associate degree or from other institutions. You can complete the program in as few as two years.
You’ll take two courses per eight-week term, including summers, for a total of 10 terms. Campus-based courses are offered one night a week and Saturday mornings. Some online courses are also available.
You’ll take a range of classes in human development, child and family studies, administration in early childhood settings, and more. Learn how to address the developmental needs of children up to five years old. And deepen your understanding of how to serve children and families in challenging living situations by earning a 15-credit certificate in Childhood Homelessness Studies.
All courses are taught by expert Lesley faculty and will prepare you for a career as an early childhood educator. Earning your bachelor’s degree will help you get where you want to be, as more and more employers are requiring their teachers to have one.
