Lesley welcomes Carolyn Jeppsen for Nov. 2 event

Advocate for neurodiverse people kicks off Thought Leadership Series

Lesley University launches the 2023-24 season of the Thought Leadership Series on Nov. 2, with Carolyn Jeppsen, an advocate for neurodiverse people. Register by Nov. 2 for this event.

The event runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the second-floor amphitheater (Room 2-150) of University Hall, 1815 Massachusetts Ave., in Cambridge’s Porter Square.

Carolyn Jeppsen is the first speaker in the 2023-24 Thought Leadership Series at Lesley University.

Jeppsen is co-founder/CEO/President of BroadFutures, a nonprofit committed to empowering young neurodivergent people through a training, a mentoring and internship program.

She is passionate about creating innovative solutions to empower young people with disabilities to succeed in education and the workforce and ensuring that a diverse workplace is inclusive of disability. Jeppsen speaks nationally on the benefits of a diverse workforce that is inclusive of disability, as well as the value proposition of internship programs.

Jeppsen received her B.A. with honors from Colby College, her J.D. from George Washington University National Law Center, and her Certificate of Non-Profit Executive Management from Georgetown University.

Jeppsen’s presentation is the first of five events in the Thought Leadership Series at Lesley University. Other presentations include: gallery curator Michael Cary on Jan. 25; visual artist Cicely Carew on Feb. 3; young-adult author Jasmine Warga, the Evelyn M. Finnegan lecturer, on March 7; and business leader and author Glenn Mangurian on March 21.
