What to Bring to Orientation

The most important thing to bring is a positive attitude and willingness to participate in the program, but the following will also be helpful:

Checklist

What can you do between now and your Orientation session? A lot! Orientation is the perfect time to find out what you want to know to prepare for your first year. Come fully equipped for the Q&A sessions, including plenty of questions about Lesley and the college experience!

  • Basics
    • Bring what you need. Pack lightly and efficiently. Include a backpack, notebook, and something to write with during orientation. Get started with your Lesley email and Log into Self Service to update your personal information in the Lesley system.
    • Think about what picture you would like on your official Lesley University Student ID Card.
    • Review requirements for the Student Health Forms and Medical Records
    • Students or family members with disabilities who would like to request accommodations can contact Disability Support Services by email at dss@lesley.edu. For timely review and arrangement of accommodations, we encourage you to make requests 2 weeks before your Orientation session or as soon as possible.
    • Bring your laptop if you can to expedite the registration experience on Day 2. For students who are not able to bring their laptop with them, we will have desktop computers available for students to use during the registration process.
    • Review the online Student Handbook to familiarize yourself with the student code of conduct.
  • Overnight
    • Bedding (Pillow, Twin Extra Long Sheets, Blanket/sleeping bag)
    • Toiletries and personal hygiene items
    • Pajamas
    • Towel
    • Shower Shoes (slides/flip flops)
    • Water bottle and preferred snacks
    • Small desk fan
    • Jacket
