Individually Designed Program for Educators

Master of Education (M.Ed.): On-Campus

Plan a degree program that meets your unique needs.

Design a program that’s right for you. Through our flexible M.Ed. program, you can create an individualized course of study that aligns with your career goals and interests. You’ll work with an academic advisor to choose courses that allow you to pursue a specialization, an endorsement or add-on license, or interdisciplinary work in the topics that interest you most. Plus, you can choose to take courses online as well as face-to-face on our Cambridge, Massachusetts, campus.

Nine of your eleven courses will be electives, while the final two will be required research courses designed to help you consolidate your coursework and develop an action-research study. Throughout your course of study, you can choose to complete one of the following graduate certificate programs, which will show as a specialization on your transcript:

With the required prerequisite license, you may also consider a 15-24 credit license-only program in English as a Second Language for either grades PreK-6 or 5-12.

You'll graduate knowing that you have the degree you need to land the career you're passionate about. That's because employers in Massachusetts prefer to hire Lesley graduates, saying that they are best prepared to enter the classroom on day one.
