The health and well-being of our university community and members of our extended community are always first, so in keeping with federal and state health and safety guidelines related to Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), Lesley University has moved classes to remote learning. Please continue to consult lesley.edu/events and lesley.edu/covid-19 for updates. Lesley University intends to resume on-campus learning once it is safe to do so in alignment with the guidance from the CDC and Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Fall 2020: All MTEL workshops will be held online and synchronously. You must attend during the specified hours. ESL is asynchronous.
We offer Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) workshops and courses covering practice questions, test-taking strategies, some content, and resources for individual study to Lesley students and alumni, current Lesley applicants, and the general public, usually 4 times per year. Check out our MTEL Study Resources.
Math General Curriculum
Prepare for the Math subtest of General Curriculum (GC):

Lesley students and alumni can register for and take the diagnostic at no charge without registering for the workshop or course. Lesley students in Elementary, Moderate, or Severe programs are strongly advised to take the diagnostic during their first semester at Lesley in order to have enough time to prepare for the subtest.

- A 4-session weekend workshop, EMTEL 5600, open to Lesley students, current applicants, alumni, and general public. Cost: $100 Lesley students and alumni; $325 general public.

Using the New Elevate System for Course Registration
Elevate is a new online registration system used for continuing education and other services. Even if you have taken courses at Lesley previously, you will need to create a new account for Elevate, which you can use for future courses offered through this system.
Each course has a unique registration code. Make sure your correct course/start date is listed on the upper right hand corner of the “Create Account” sign-in page. After entering your information, the system will prompt you for payment, if appropriate.
Once registered, you will receive two emails: one from CAPS@lesley.edu with your Elevate username and portal link; one from the Registrar’s Office with your Lesley credentials for Blackboard/myLesley and LOIS. If you do not receive an email within two business days regarding your Lesley credentials, please contact our IT department at 617-349-8770 or IT@lesley.edu
Workshop confirmations, cancellations, and/or changes will be made through email. Make sure your email address is current, correct, and legible, and check email before departing for the workshops.
Although we try to ensure certification information is accurate and complete, contents are subject to change.
