Undergraduate black students revisit Black History Matters 365, an exhibition created and organized by College of Art and Design alumnus Percy Fortini-Wright '03, '08 (MFA in Visual Arts), by reflecting on black history, empowerment and pride.
The 2016 exhibition, curated by Percy, illuminated the importance of Black History as it spans beyond this commemorative month. Students this year will provide their own interpretations of Black History and empowerment.
An artist's reception will be held in the Lunder Arts Center, Spotlight Gallery, lower level commons on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 6–8 p.m. The exhibition is made possible through the partnership of The Office of Multicultural Affairs & Student Inclusion, Student Activities, the College of Art and Design's Office of Community Engagement, and the University Diversity Council.
