On Realizing I’m Black: Black Identity in the Dominican Republic

Globally, racial identity is minimized as a rigid, monolithic experience. This is particularly true for black identity. This session will explore racial identity in folks from the Dominican Republic, both on and off the Island, and the growing Afro-Latinx movement.
