General Plan

We've outlined our overarching plan here, and within emails that we sent to all current and prospective Lesley students.

  • Academic Calendar

    Fall 2021 Academic Calendar

The first day of classes for the 15-week semester and Spring Term 1 is Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Fall Term 1 starts Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

Fall Term 2 starts Monday, November 1, 2021.

Review the Fall 2021 Academic Calendar.

  • Orientations

Details regarding fall orientations are coming soon. Check these links for new information as it becomes available.

  • Health and Safety Protocols

Return to Campus Protocol and Agreement

All students with campus access will be required to sign a Return to Campus Community Compact. The Fall 2021 Compact will be available soon, and it may contain some or all of the health and safety requirements below that were implemented in the 2020-21 academic year:

    • Participating in Lesley's weekly COVID-19 on-campus testing program (and agreeing to isolate or quarantine, if positive or exposed to the virus by a close contact)
    • Daily self-screening for symptoms using the CoVerified app
    • Being up-to-date on all required immunizations before returning to campus
    • Getting a flu shot before returning to campus
    • Wearing a mask or face-covering in public or in the presence of others
    • Practicing good hand hygiene
    • Social distancing (six feet) at all times, except when alone.

    Self-Monitoring & Testing Program

Members of the campus community will be required to participate in daily symptom screening using the CoVerified app and to participate in Lesley's weekly on-campus COVID-19 testing program.

Students using campus facilities will be tested upon arrival to the Cambridge area and required to quarantine until a negative result is received. Testing will then continue on a weekly basis for the duration of the student’s campus access.

    Massachusetts COVID-19 Travel Advisory

Effective March 22, 2021, all visitors and returning residents entering Massachusetts must follow specific travel orders. Review Governor Baker's COVID-19 Travel Advisory.

  • COVID-19 and Other Vaccines

All Lesley students who will be on campus for any reason will be required to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus before the Fall 2021 semester starts.

Read more about our immunization requirements for Fall 2021.

  • Housing

We are offering housing on our South Campus (formerly known as Brattle Campus), Doble Campus, and local hotels.

Read more about our housing plan for Fall 2021.

  • Meals

We will be offering dining services at White Hall, Washburn Hall, and other grill and café stations across campuses.

Read more about our meal options for Fall 2021.

  • Transfer Student Supports

In Fall 2020, we launched a Transfer Student Success Office embedded with our advising teams in our Coordinated Student Success area in the Provost’s Office.

Associate Provost Jennifer Serowick and her team are ready to assist transfer students with everything from transfer credits, questions about student life and academics, understanding financial aid or billing, and finding the supports you need at Lesley.

  • Community Standards of Conduct

During a global pandemic whose trajectory is uncertain, even limited use of campus facilities carries some risks that each individual must weigh carefully.

Lesley students who have been accorded the privilege of campus access are responsible for protecting each other’s health and well-being and must hold each other accountable.

The Community Standards of Conduct will apply to students regardless of whether they are living at home, off-campus, or in a local hotel room.

  • Internships & Field Placements

We will offer in-person, hybrid, and remote placements in the fall. Students can make their own decisions about how and where they participate.

Read more about our internship and field placements for Fall 2021.

  • International Students

The government has confirmed that the guidance from 2020 will remain in effect for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Learn more about the Fall 2021 plan for F-1 international students.

  • Study Abroad

Given the pandemic’s global impact and ongoing international travel restrictions, we have made the difficult decision to not approve all Fall 2021 international travel.

This includes study abroad, exchange programs, and faculty-led programs scheduled through December 2021. Programs planned for January 2021 and the upcoming Spring 2022 semester will be reviewed in the Summer of 2021.

Please contact Ross Styles, Assistant Director of the Global Education Program, at rstyles@lesley.edu if you have any questions.
