We’re thrilled that you’re joining Lesley University. We can’t wait to help you make your dream of earning a bachelor's degree happen. But first, let’s get you set up with everything you need to finalize your enrollment. To help, we've organized everything you need to do into 6 easy steps:

1. Access your electronic accounts

Your electronic accounts are the gateway to the information you'll need as a student. If you've already gained access to them, register for classes and log on to your email. Otherwise, follow our guide for logging on for the first time.

Your Lesley email

A Lesley email address has been assigned to you, and appears on your Enrollment Confirmation Letter. From this point forward, all university electronic communication will be sent to you at this address, so be sure to check your account frequently
Your password is the same one you’ve been using to check on the status of your documents during the admissions process. If you did not activate your account yet, you may do so now by visiting our password management site.

Access your myLesley account. This online course portal is where you can access class syllabi, assignments, online discussion boards, and library resources.
Access your Self-Service account. This is where you can find administrative information regarding your class schedules, grades, financial aid, and more. You will also use Self-Service to register for your courses.

2. Sign your enrollment agreement

Prior to registration, you'll need to finalize your enrollment agreement.

To complete your payment agreement, navigate to your Self-Service account and sign the Financial Responsibility Agreement.

3. Prepare for your first day

Now that you've set up your email and completed your forms, the next step is preparing for your classes. We have all the info ready for you-everything from getting to class to reviewing your schedule, and more.

To check your schedule, learn the starting dates of the semester, and find the room numbers for your classes, you should log in to your Self-Service account.

If you have any questions, you should reach out to your advisor. Their name is in your welcome email. Or you can reach out to us at lcal@lesley.edu for help.

Some professors will email their class with a short reading or writing assignment due the first day, so make sure to check your email before your first classes.
Obtaining your ID card and purchasing textbooks

Lesley ID cards may be obtained at the Doble Public Safety Office at 34 Mellen Street, Cambridge, MA. ID cards are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

All textbooks are available at the Lesley University Bookstore in Cambridge, MA at University Hall. Your textbooks can also be delivered to your home or you can order them online to buy or rent on a number of websites. If for any reason purchasing a textbook is a hardship for you, please speak to your advisor and your professor to come up with a solution.

You should purchase your textbook before classes start and no later than the end of the first day of classes.
Review the academic calendar and school policies, and learn how to Add/Drop
Be sure to review the academic calendar so you’re aware of important dates and deadlines for registration, add/drop, and course terms.

Learn about your program of study early. If you have questions, check in with your academic advisor.

Find important information about university-wide policies and procedures, student services, and the history and culture of Lesley.

If you need to add or drop a course, find the Add/Drop Withdrawal form you need via the Registrar's Office.

4. Lesley prior learning and honors societies

Make connections that last a lifetime and check your eligibility for earning more college credits.

Prior Learning Assessments

As an adult learner, you may have prior work experience that would apply to your program of study. We work with adult learners to establish credit for prior learning, including maximizing the number of credits you can transfer from other colleges and evaluating prior learning for credit. The more credits you receive, the more efficiently you can complete your degree. Learn more about how to earn Credit for Prior Learning.
Latin Honors

Summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and cum laude are awarded to students who complete a minimum of 45 credits of Lesley coursework, earn the required GPA, and fall into the top percentile of the graduating class. Contact the Support Hub to make an inquiry with the Academic Records Office about your eligibility.
Lesley Center for Adult Learners Honors Certificate

Lesley’s Center for the Adult Learner offers a unique honors certificate to Lesley students who are taking classes through Lesley’s Center for the Adult Learner or through our off-campus partnerships (ex: Bunker Hill CC, DeMello Center, Urban College). To earn the Honors Certificate, you must earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher. We generate the certificates prior to May conferral, and we distribute them in person at the President’s Reception (the Friday afternoon before graduation) or the LCAL Pizza Party (the Friday evening before graduation). We also mail them out. If you do not receive one by June 1 of the year you graduate, but believe that your GPA makes you eligible, then please speak with your academic advisor.
Delta Mu Delta

Business Management majors (3^rd/4^th year students) with sufficient credits (approximately 24) who are in the top 20% of their class and meet the minimum GPA (3.4 for juniors; 3.6 for seniors) may be invited by the Business Management department to join this international business honors society. There is a fee (approx. $80) to join, but that fee establishes life-long membership. An induction ceremony is also held in the spring. Reviewing your financial aid options

You’ll want to get credit for any financial aid you’ve been awarded, so let Lesley's Financial Aid Office know by sending copies of any external awards that you’re eligible to receive. It’s also a good time, after you’ve reviewed your finalized award letter and the projected out-of-pocket expenses, to research payment plans and educational financing options

If you haven’t yet begun the financial aid process, it’s never too late to apply. We encourage you to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), using the Lesley University Title IV school code 002160.
Paying your bills
The Student Accounts will send notification of tuition bills to your Lesley email address on a monthly basis.

To view notification, log in to your Self-Service account.

You can pay your tuition and fee charges online with an American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA credit card (for a 2.5% convenience fee).

You may also pay by check and other methods. Learn more about how to pay your bill.
Refunds

The Student Accounts Office also provides refunds if you drop a course by the deadline. The Lesley at Bunker Hill courses run for 8-week terms, and are considered “Off-Campus” courses. Review our refund schedule.
Scholarship options
Lesley Donor Scholarships are available to Lesley University students, including adult learners at Lesley. In August/September, the Financial Aid will email all adult learners about any available donor scholarships. Some years there is more scholarship money available than others. In the email, students will be provided with a link to apply. Students submit one application for all applicable scholarships. The Financial Aid Office will then forward the applications on to the applicable scholarship committees. Therefore, even though a student submits one application, a student could be entered into consideration for more than one scholarship.

In addition to these donor scholarships, the Financial Aid website also includes links to a wide variety of Private Scholarships .

Lesley Donor Scholarships open to Adult Learners at Lesley:

Annie Ezer Berner Scholarship Fund: Established by Mr. Berner in memory of his mother, Annie Ezer Berner. To benefit women re-entering academic life or professional life after a long delay or interruption.

Barnes & Noble Textbook Scholarships: For deserving undergraduates including adult learners.

Constance and Lewis Counts Endowed Scholarship: The Constance and Lewis Counts Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2001. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is accepted in the Center for the Adult Learner (LCAL) as an undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in the Early Childhood Studies program or is a graduate of the adult learning program and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education in the Graduate School of Education. Students will be selected by a committee through a competitive process.

Grace Runnion Memorial Scholarship: Established in 1984 in memory of Grace Runnion for students in the Lesley Center for the Adult Learner. The scholarship will facilitate self-development or contribute to women's psychology, art, or spirituality.

Intensive Residency Option Endowed Scholarship Fund: For a student pursuing a degree in the Lesley Center for the Adult Learner.

Jose Ribeiro Scholarship Fund: In memory of Lesley Graduate School of Education faculty member, Jose Ribeiro, for deserving undergraduates of any ethic or cultural background who are first-generation college students. May be either need or merit-based.

Julio Lobo Seminars Scholarship Fund: For deserving students in the Lesley Center for the Adult Learner

Ellsworth H Sherin Scholarship Fund: This endowed scholarship fund was established in 1985 with a gift from Pauala nad Jeffrey Stahl. The scholarship honors the memory of Mr. Sherin, whose daughter, Dr. Pauala Sherin Stahl, Ed.D, is a member of the class of 1968. The Sherin Scholarship is awarded to a deserving College of Liberal Arts and Sciences student with a strong academic record.

Disability Support Services works with students, faculty, and staff to ensure that appropriate academic adjustments are made to allow all students equal opportunity in the classroom and around campus.
International Student Services

The Global Education Center and International Student Services Office offers cross-cultural support and immigration advice for all international students.

The Student Accounts Office handles student health insurance, tuition bills, and refunds.
