Join poets Steven Cramer and Joan Houlihan for free small-group writing workshops designed to demonstrate how work is analyzed and discussed in the Lesley University MFA in Creative Writing program.
Steven Cramer is the author of five poetry collections: The Eye that Desires to Look Upward (1987); The World Book (1992); Dialogue for the Left and Right Hand (1997); Goodbye to the Orchard (2004), which won the 2005 Sheila Motton Prize from the New England Poetry Club, and was named a 2005 Honor Book in Poetry by the Massachusetts Center for the Book; and Clangings (2012).
Joan Houlihan is the author of five books of poetry, most recently, Shadow-feast (Four Way Books). Her poetry has been anthologized in The Iowa Anthology of New American Poetries (University of Iowa Press) and The Book of Irish-American Poetry-Eighteenth Century to Present (University of Notre Dame Press). She is a contributing critic for the Contemporary Poetry Review and author of a series of essays on contemporary American poetry archived online at bostoncomment.com.
Workshops are located in University Hall, rooms 3-097 and 3-098.
