The Lunder Arts Center becomes an illuminated lantern with our spring Film as Monument exhibition. With its street-facing gallery windows and atrium, the center will showcase a combination of projected experimental film, digital flat screens, and hand-painted celluloid artwork. Exploring film’s materiality and structure, the exhibit features artwork from the Film as Installation course, taught by Assistant Professor Ingrid Stobbe, as well as high school students from the West End Boys and Girls Club, Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and more, who have participated in a series of workshops led by exhibiting artist and experimental filmmaker Gabby Sumney. This public program is a striking collaboration at Lesley Art + Design between Digital Filmmaking, Exhibitions, and LA+D Community Engagement.

Presented in partnership with Women in Film & Video New England (WiFVNE) and Boston LGBTQIA+ Artist Alliance (BLAA). This project is made possible in part by generous funding from the Ralph Bradley Prize.
