You Belong Here
So much is in store for you at Lesley University! Now that you’ve been accepted, RSVP for our exclusive celebration for new undergraduate and Threshold students for Saturday, April 27.

Housing Tips for First-Year Students

If you’re entering Lesley University in the fall as a first-year student, you’re guaranteed campus housing in Cambridge for the first two consecutive years, provided that you meet two conditions:

  • Show evidence of satisfactory academic progress, and
  • Meet the June 1 housing/enrollment deposit deadline for new students and subsequent deposit deadlines for returning students

After the first two years, you’re offered on-campus housing on a space-available basis.

You’ll be assigned residences/rooms by the Residence Life Office for your first year.

Roommates

All new students will have one, two, or three roommates. Roommate matching is based upon the information provided by you on your Residence Application Form. If you already know who you would like to have as your roommate, you may request that roommate on your Residence Application Form. You’ll also have the opportunity to request a roommate during your Orientation program. We must have a request form from both you and your prospective roommate in order to accommodate your request. Your request will be honored based on availability of space.

All new students who live in residence halls will be notified of their hall, room assignment, and roommate information in mid-August before move-in. Students starting in the spring semester will receive their room assignments in January.

Community Advisors and Campus Security

Our residence halls include professional live-in staff and Community Advisors, commonly referred to as CAs. The CA is an upper-class student who develops a true sense of community in the hall by sponsoring both social and educational programming. Your CA is an advisor, mentor, and a resource person. They are also trained to respond to different types of emergency situations.

In addition to Community Advisors, our campus has a 24-hour Public Safety Office. Officers are always on campus and available to respond to questions or emergencies at any time. Public Safety is also available to escort students between Lesley buildings and campuses during evening hours.
