Pistorino, who began at Lesley this month, served in a similar capacity since 2001 at Regis College in Weston. In that role he developed and led a sustainable strategy to grow revenue and control costs through the application of technology and process improvement. His responsibilities spanned budget, treasury, risk management, financial aid, registrar, human resources, legal, information technology, facilities, campus police and auxiliary services.

Prior to his tenure at Regis, Pistorino was comptroller at Boston’s Fisher College, where he helped lead the transformation of that institution from a two-year women’s college to a co-educational baccalaureate institution.

“Tom Pistorino’s experience in a diverse array of financial leadership positions makes him an ideal chief financial officer at this pivotal and exciting time in Lesley’s history,” said university President Janet L. Steinmayer. “Tom’s finance acumen, proven track record of stewardship and commitment to community are well-suited to supporting Lesley’s sustainability and strategic growth.”

Pistorino earned a bachelor’s degree from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass., and a master’s in business administration from Babson College in Wellesley, Mass.

He maintains active memberships in the Boston Chapter of Financial Executives International, the Treasurer’s Club of Boston, the National and Eastern Associations of College and University Business Officers, and the Society of College and University Planners. He is a member of the New England Commission of Higher Education's Annual Report on Finance and Enrollment Committee, is the past president and a former trustee of the New England Educators Insurance Association, Compensation, Inc., and the former treasurer of the King Philip Walpole Youth Hockey Association.
