The primary roles of the Bachelor of Social Work Field Education Department (BSW) are to:

  • match students in the undergraduate social work program with approved internship sites and supervisors

  • recruit internship sites

  • orient supervisors to Lesley's social work program

  • provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for concerns that arise during the internship experience.

The Office of Field Placements provides graduate students seeking a teaching license field base experience.

The Undergraduate Education Field Placement Office provides students with guidance in their educational journey, specifically before, during, and after their pre-practicum and practicum student teaching placements. We identify and secure field placements within schools connected with their interests in their educational licensure program or educational explorations. We continually explore new schools and maintain partnerships with administrators and teachers to enable students to gain classroom experience in preparation for their future professions.

The Undergraduate Internship Office is dedicated to assisting and supporting you in securing internship placements. We work to ensure that you have the best possible experience by directing you to internship opportunities that match your interests and professional goals.
