Located in the gallery’s interior space, work by LA+D’s on-ground staff are celebrated in the exhibition: Concerted Negotiations. While the recent pandemic forced many to work from home offices, a select number of our staff have remained on site, allowing the Lunder Arts Center’s equipment and facilities to be accessible to students. Concerted Negotiations honors those staff while showcasing their uniquely broad range of work, which includes sculpture, site-specific installation, and music. The exhibit demonstrates the result of negotiating a balance between professional obligations and artistic practices during a time of great uncertainty – as well as the ever-present negotiation of both traditional and uncommon materials present in many artist’s professional studio practices.
The exhibition was curated by Director of Exhibitions Andrew Mroczek. Events such as artist talks and a reception will be scheduled later this fall.
Currently, the Lunder Arts Center is open only to the Lesley community.
