A student-led space to give voice to the inequities and individual/communal impact of required unpaid and underpaid internships. We invite individuals to share their experience with un(der)paid internships using any medium that speaks to them, be it music, art, drama, dance/movement, poetry, or simply speaking. The event will also include space for a debrief and discussion — you do not need to share your experience to attend!

Please note that faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to this event to act as witnesses, not participants. The intention of their presence is to impact the decision-makers and stakeholders at Lesley who can act as allies to help us move beyond unpaid internships and towards equity.

There will be an in-person (2-4 pm on Sunday, April 10 in Porter Café in University Hall) and a virtual event (7-8:30 pm on Monday, April 11 on Zoom). You are welcome to attend one or both events.
