Advocacy in Early Childhood: How Do We Save Ourselves?

The early childhood profession is in crisis, and teachers are at the center of the storm. How do we advocate for ourselves as educators and professionals? What systems are in place that can support us? What are the small steps that we might take in order to reshape the profession?

Through the guidance of leaders from the field, this workshop, in collaboration with Neighborhood Villages, will explore the larger policy issues that are impacting early childhood educators today, as well as the reasonable steps that we might take as educators to make change in our schools, classrooms, and early childhood centers. During this workshop, we will learn more of the landscape of advocacy in early childhood happening right now, as well as the tools we might use to advocate for ourselves and our communities.
