Using the art of animation as a basis for creating strong narratives, Storytelling Animated introduces the animation production process through the exploration of a wide variety of conceptual and technical workshops. Emphasizing both traditional narrative and non-traditional storytelling approaches, this course examines a wide range of visual possibilities within the animation medium, while introducing the basic concepts and principles involved in creating short animated films. Through a series of workshops that focus on various animation techniques including hand-drawn animation, stop-motion animation, digital animation, and experimental animation, students will develop an array of animation skills to tell stories in new and dynamic ways.
