Jaenine teaches in the language and literacy programs.  She says:

Currently, I am a literacy coach at the King Open School in Cambridge, MA. As an educator, I am a firm believer in creating equitable classrooms that help foster student learning. Understanding that each student is unique, it is essential to create authentic relationships with all students, and use their strengths to engage them. I find importance in creating an atmosphere of community and respect for both students and adults. Understanding that individuals work best when they feel comfortable, safe, and empowered has been a helpful way for me to facilitate both student and adult learning.

Before becoming a literacy coach, I started my career as a classroom teacher in Lowell, MA, where I taught both 2nd and 3rd grade. After completing my M.Ed. at Lesley University, I accepted a position as a reading specialist in Winthrop, MA.
