Gender Identity and Classroom Practice: Equipping Teachers to Support and Affirm Gender Expansive Students in Our Classrooms

Are you wondering how to create a nurturing learning environment for students with different gender identities? Join us on Saturday, April 2, 2022 for an online workshop that will focus on ways that teachers can create developmentally appropriate safe spaces that support and affirm gender expansive students in all our classrooms.

The New Teacher Community is delighted to present four PreK through high school teachers who are immersed in gender and relationships education, and Noah Grigni, a children’s book illustrator and trans activist from Atlanta, Georgia. Noah uses art to imagine a radically inclusive future and uplift voices fighting for change, and has collaborated on books such as The Every Body BookThe LGBTQ+ Inclusive Guide for Kids about Sex, Gender, Bodies and Families, and It Feels Good to Be Yourself: A Book About Gender Identity.
