Evidence-based Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) offers a structured, sequential, and systematic approach to working with small groups of children who struggle with reading. LLI has proven success with children in grades K-2, including those with special educational needs and multilingual learners, making it ideal for use as part of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), summer learning programs, and other tutoring initiatives.
LLI is designed to teach children to coordinate all facets of literacy. All lessons include explicit, systematic phonics instruction while also strengthening fluency, comprehension, and writing abilities. Plus, high-quality, age-appropriate texts help make learning more effective and enjoyable.
Join us for this 6-day institute where you’ll learn how to use LLI systems in a way that supports your teaching goals and addresses the individual needs of K-2 children within a small group setting.

- LLI System organization and lesson frameworks
- Explicit and systematic instruction in phonemic awareness and phonics
