Please join us on Tuesday, Aug. 30 from 11 am to 1 pm for our annual Fall Kickoff BBQ on the South Campus Quad. This is the first time since 2019 that we’ve been able to launch the new academic year with an in-person picnic, and we look forward to seeing you all there!
President Steinmayer’s kickoff speech, in which she will lay out her strategic goals and agenda for the coming year and announce new faculty and staff and promotions, will be filmed in advance and shared by email the morning of the event.
During the picnic, we will celebrate our colleagues marking employment milestones, and recognize the distinguished and emeriti faculty appointments made at the end of last year.
Come feast on a traditional BBQ spread with chicken, sliced brisket, veggie burgers, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, and more!
Please RSVP by August 24 via the email invitation you received so that we can plan food accordingly. In the event of rain, we will hold the BBQ in Washburn Auditorium on the same day.
