In recognition of the holy month of Ramadan, the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Justice presents Dr. Mariam Durrani, a feminist anthropologist, critical pedagogue, and multimodal media maker whose research and scholarship are located at the intersection of global racialization, migration, Muslim youth cultures, and higher education studies, in the U.S., Pakistan, and online. She teaches anthropology, linguistics, women and gender studies, and Muslim youth studies to undergraduate students at Hamilton College. She received her joint PhD in anthropology in educational linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania before completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
