This week: Becoming Your Own Superhero with Khary (Dance/Movement) & Joselyn (Expressive Arts)
Using the modalities of movement, poetry and music, participants can foster the development of their self-esteem through self-exploration and awakening their inner superheroes. We want to help our superheroes feel like the best version of themselves in the universe.
The Expressive Arts Workshop Series aims to build community through experiential arts and give students an opportunity for practice in co-facilitation. The series will take place at 7 p.m. over the course of the fall semester and each workshop will be led by two expressive therapies graduate students, drawing from a variety of arts modalities (dance, drama, music, visual art, poetry etc.).
This series is not meant to be therapy for participants but rather facilitated arts expression that may be therapeutic in nature. Feedback will be gathered at the end of each session and given to student facilitators to aid in their clinical growth. Workshops are open to all students, staff and faculty at Lesley University.
