Susan is a longtime resident of Cambridge and comes to Lesley’s Student Health Service with a diverse background in healthcare. She began her professional career as a copy editor in the Medical Division of Little Brown, obtained a Master’s degree (MA) in Technical and Professional Writing from Northeastern University, then worked as a writer/analyst for Harvard Community Health Plan and several medical-focused software companies. After earning her Master’s in Public Health (MPH) at Boston University, she worked on several cycles of Massachusetts’ Triennial Alcohol, Drugs, and Tobacco studies on adolescent populations for Health and Addictions Research Inc. (HARI) and John Snow, Inc. (JSI). After a hiatus to raise her two boys, and experience as a hospice caregiver for her mother, she returned to school to obtain her nursing license (BSN, Curry College).

Susan has experience as a psych nurse with Nizhoni Health, private practice home health nurse, and as a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine nurse and health coach for stroke survivors at Charlestown’s Spaulding Rehabilitation. She also worked as a COVID nurse vaccinator, prepper, trainer, and supervisor at Cataldo’s Massachusetts vaccine clinics. Susan first came to Lesley in 2021 as a COVID tester and flu vaccine clinic nurse and was excited to accept a full-time position with Lesley’s Student Health Service team. She looks forward to improving the health and wellness of Lesley’s students through her Health Coaching skills and passion for Lifestyle Medicine. In her spare time Susan enjoys plant-based cooking, outdoor activities including kayaking, and time with family on Cape Cod.
