Sara Farizan (she/her) is the award-winning and critically acclaimed author of young adult and middle grade novels including Here to Stay, Tell Me Again How a Crush Should Feel, and the Lambda Literary award winning If You Could Be Mine, which was named one of TIME magazine's 100 Best YA Books of All Time. Her upcoming young adult novel Dead Flip is described in Booklist's starred review as "[A] well-crafted homage to narratives like It and Stranger Things... A great choice for horror stalwart fans and newcomers to the genre." She has short stories in the young adult anthologies Fresh Ink, All Out, The Radical Element, Hungry Hearts, Come on In, and Fools in Love with more on the way. She also had a dream come true in writing a middle grade graphic novel for DC comics, My Buddy Killer Croc illustrated by Nicoletta Baldari, featuring many of Farizan's favorite characters from Gotham City. Her upcoming middle grade with Scholastic, Opportunity Knocks, is her foray into middle grade narrative novels with fun magic, friendship, and lots of trademark humor.

Farizan is an alumni of Lesley University's Creative Writing MFA program and is now back to apply her own real world writing experience to a program that has given her so much. For more information about Farizan's work, visit her website at www.sarafarizan.com.
