Fisiha Likke was born and raised in Ethiopia. He moved to Los Angeles after high school and later studied illustration and architecture at RISD. After graduation, he worked in a non-profit organization as an artist in residence, taught in various high schools around Rhode Island, and continues to be head of the visual art department at MX high school in Concord, MA.
Additionally, he has taught for many years in the summer Pre-College program here at the College of Art and Design. He works as a freelance architect and participates in urban design projects in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. As a studio artist, he has exhibited his works in many places locally and internationally, including Providence, Boston, Los Angeles, Ghana, and Ethiopia. His commissioned works can be found in New England, Hong Kong, and Ethiopia.
