Beth is an Instructor of Early Childhood Education, Advisor and Supervisor for the Threshold Program. Beth teaches ECE I and supervisors first year students at their internship placements. The ECE I course and practicum provide an opportunity for first year students to explore the field of early education and learn of child development concepts such as: guidance and discipline, child development, the social/emotional development of young children and curriculum concepts.
Beth has worked in the field of early childhood education for 30 years. Beth started her career in early education as a kindergarten teacher in Lawrence Massachusetts. She moved on to various leadership positions for high quality early education programs in the Greater Boston area including leading a Head Start program for 10 years.
Beth has a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University and a M.Ed in Child Development from Tufts University.
