This spring, the Threshold Program was honored to receive a generous gift from the John D. McGonagle Foundation in support of student scholarships.

According to the Foundation’s website, the John D. McGonagle Foundation exists to support educational and mentoring opportunities for children and young adults, veterans, conservation efforts, and other initiatives that contribute to healthy communities throughout New England. The Foundation is committed to expanding educational opportunities through scholarships, workshops, and resources that empower individuals to reach their full potential.

This meaningful connection to the Threshold Program was made possible through Steve Theall, parent of Threshold alumnus Steve Theall Jr. (Class of ’98), who was a longtime friend and college roommate of John McGonagle. Steve, along with fellow McGonagle Board of Trustees member Ralph Casale, presented a wonderful gift to Lesley University to support scholarships for Threshold students.

Scholarship support plays a vital role in helping more students access the Threshold Program, pursue their educational and personal goals, and reach their full potential while experiencing college life in Cambridge.

We are deeply grateful to Steve Theall, Ralph Casale, and the entire Board of Trustees of the McGonagle Foundation for their generosity and commitment to expanding opportunities for Threshold students. Their support will have a lasting impact on the lives of the students we serve.
