Lesley Art + Design Exhibitions is pleased to announce the launch of a new series of student-juried and curated pop-up exhibitions—beginning with In You, I See Me.

In You, I See Me was conceived and juried by Lesley Art + Design student Delana Thompson, and invites students, faculty, and staff of LA+D to contribute self-portraits in any medium. Together, these works form a collective exploration of identity and community—revealing how we see ourselves and each other through art.

“The practice of self-portraiture is one that I find so exciting, both as an artist and as a viewer. Self-portraits reveal so much about the artist—the way they view themselves, the way they view society, their interpretations of history. I often feel like even though I understand myself more intimately than anyone else could, I’m struck by how much I learn about myself through the act of painting myself. When engaging with artists’ work who practice self-portraiture, I feel a deep sense of community when I can relate and identify with what the artist is communicating. Self-portraits remind us of our own humanity and of the people around us when we can recognize ourselves in others.” - Delana Thompson

In You, I See Me will be on view in the Raizes Gallery at LA+D’s Lunder Arts Center, 1801 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, from November 10–23, 2025.

An afternoon reception will be held on Thursday, November 20, from 12–2 pm. The event is free and open to all members of the Lesley community. Light refreshments will be served.
