Andrew Mowbray’s project based works combine aspects of traditional craft, art and architecture. His national and international record of exhibitions include LaMontagne Gallery, The Fruitlands Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and The Decordova Museum of Art. Mowbray received his BFA from Maryland Institute, College of Art and his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Mowbray’s work is the permanent collections of The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, The DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Wellington Management, Fidelity Investments and numerous other private collections. Notable reviews of his work have appeared in Art in America and Sculpture Magazine, where he was featured as the 2012 cover artist. He has received grants from The Massachusetts Cultural Council, The LEF Foundation and the Artists Resource Trust. Mowbray is a Senior Lecturer and Director of 3D Arts, at Wellesley College.
