At Lesley, we know potential and success isn't defined by socioeconomic status. That's why Urban Scholars Initiative (USI) provides tuition assistance, tutoring, mentoring, as well as book and supply stipends, to support students' financial, academic, and emotional needs.
The Urban Scholar Initiative (USI) at Lesley University supports first-generation, low-income college students in reaching their academic and personal potential by meeting their financial, academic, and emotional needs throughout their time here. Through the USI we offer tuition assistance, tutoring, and mentorship to help students graduate with little to no loan debt. Since its launch in 2013, over 200 students have participated, maintaining a consistently high graduation rate of 90%.
