Lesley University's Master of Social Work Program

Advance your career and empower your community with a Master of Social Work

Now more than ever, there’s a need for highly skilled mental health practitioners who will advocate for the most vulnerable populations. Lesley's Master of Social Work (MSW) is a distinctive program that emphasizes social justice, integrative approaches, and client well-being.

Flexible options

Our 60-credit program can be completed full- or part-time, and in the evenings, making it more manageable for those with families or full-time jobs. Furthermore, our course offerings are hybrid, allowing students to take a mix of on-campus and online courses. You’ll benefit from intimate class sizes and a minimum of 1000 hours of field experience supervised by licensed social work practitioners. Gain the advanced degree, education, and experience needed for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

Rooted in Social Justice

Edith Lesley's progressive ideals led to her involvement with immigrant settlement houses in Cambridge and Boston in the early 1900s. And with our diverse community in Cambridge provides the opportunity to work with clients of different races, ethnicities, gender identities, and many other underserved groups.
