Our interdisciplinary program integrates the digital arts, virtual production, immersive technologies such as virtual or augmented reality, interactive media, and studio courses to provide a hands-on environment where you'll creatively apply your skills.
Choose from 4 specializations
All Game Design students at Lesley specialize in at least one of these areas:
- Game Art: Learn 3D graphic skills and building content in real-time environments using powerful platforms such as Unreal Engine.
- Game Audio: Learn fundamental digital audio production skills, as well as digital music production and mixing, sound design in synthesis and Foley techniques, music theory and composition, and game engine audio design and implementation.
- Game Design: Learn design fundamentals for an interactive user experience and how to design interesting and engaging real-time game environments, assets, and content.
- Virtual Production: Learn how digital cinematography and live-action combine with emerging real-time technologies that include visual effects (VFX), 3D animation, 3D modeling, and virtual sets.

Being situated in dynamic Cambridge, MA—a few miles from Boston—you'll be in the hub of game development in New England. With studios such as WB Boston, Rockstar New England, ZeroFX, Northern Light, Demiurge Studios, Harmonix, FableVision, and Proletariat nearby, there are many opportunities to find internships during your program and work after graduating.
