That's why we've partnered with several PreK–12 school districts, community colleges, and local organizations to offer several of our bachelor's degree completion programs and graduate programs at various off-campus locations.
Riverside Scholars @ Lesley Partnership
Addressing the nationwide shortage of mental health professionals, we are excited to announce a new partnership with Riverside Community Care—Riverside Scholars @ Lesley. Through this innovative workforce development initiative, students accepted to our M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program will receive a tuition scholarship, gain their required internship experience, and will be given priority consideration for employment at a Riverside Community Care facility. Easing the transition from student to practicing counselor, the program also includes a supportive cohort to sustain each counselor’s well-being throughout their careers. Candidates who apply to the Counseling & Psychology master’s program (for the general specialty only) starting Spring 2024 are automatically considered for this new scholarship program. We will select Riverside Scholars on a rolling basis until all seats are filled. All spots are on a first-come, first-serve basis. At this time, Riverside Community Care employees are not eligible to apply.

Community College Partnerships
By partnering with community colleges in the Greater Boston area—including Bunker Hill, Urban College of Boston, Middlesex, Housatonic, Massasoit, and others—we have created affordable and convenient paths toward earning a bachelor's degree. Take Lesley courses right on the community college campus. Apply the credits you've earned from your associate degree toward completing your Lesley bachelor’s degree.

If you're studying at Lesley to become a teacher, you can benefit from the partnerships we have built with PreK–12 school districts. Earn your Master of Education (M.Ed.) in a full-time accelerated teacher residency in a partner school district, take Lesley courses part-time at PreK–12 schools throughout the area, or be able to choose from a wide range of student teaching options.

Center for Advanced Professional Studies
The Center for Advanced Professional Studies is committed to excellence in PreK-12 education. We partner with districts to offer quality professional development for educators through Professional Development Points (PDPs), badges in a specific area, and for-credit graduate certificates, bringing innovative methods to support educators in meeting the critical needs of students. We are currently working with Newton, Medford, Assabet Valley, Berkshire County, and King Phillip.

Center for Reading Recovery and Literacy Collaborative
The Lesley University Center for Reading Recovery and Literacy Collaborative has provided a variety of high-quality professional learning opportunities for educators prek-8 for over thirty years in the areas of early intervention, classroom instruction, coaching, and leadership.
Our team has made a significant contribution to the literacy outcomes of children across the nation through research-based, evidence–based instructional practices built on the five pillars of reading instruction – phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. Documented in numerous peer reviewed studies, Reading Recovery©, a short-term, one-to-one tutorial, helps the lowest performing first grade children make accelerated progress in literacy so they can take advantage of classroom instruction. For students needing additional small group support in reading, writing and phonics, our team provides professional learning in the evidence-based Leveled Literacy Intervention. Peer-reviewed research demonstrates that Literacy Collaborative not only improves the learning trajectory of students but positively impacts school culture.
With our unwavering commitment to inclusion and equity, we continue to work in partnership with schools, families, and communities to invest in teacher expertise to assure equitable literacy outcomes for each child in the educational system.
