Discover Lesley and the Cambridge Community

The leaves are red, everyone's wearing sweaters and drinking hot chocolate, and it's the perfect time to visit Lesley University. In the heart of the world’s best college town, Cambridge, Massachusetts, we’re a community filled with a purpose for making change.

Our open house is set up so you can explore what you want. As you register, we’ll ask you whether you're considering the College of Art & Design Open House or the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Open House.

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Since 1909, we’ve been driven to continue in the footsteps of our founder, Edith Lesley. She was inspired to start a school in her home in Cambridge because she knew that education was the key to a healthy democracy. Since then, our students have innovated in the world of mental health counseling, education, business, the sciences, and beyond.

Our 25+ majors share one purpose: to prepare graduates to make a social impact. Your learning will go beyond the classroom as you seek inventive answers to human problems. With internships starting as early as your freshman year, you’ll be prepared for real-world experiences. Experiences that foster original thinking, social justice, perseverance, and above all, solutions.

Choose from one of these programs:

Business Management / Education / Humanities / Psychology and Applied Therapies / Science and Mathematics / Social Sciences

College of Art and Design

For over 100 years, the College of Art & Design has inspired, instructed, and shaped the careers of professional artists and designers. This is where students come to think creatively, forge meaningful careers in art and design, and forgo convention.

In small classes and with intense studio mentoring, you’ll tackle diverse mediums and experiment in your practice. With 9 majors to choose from, you’ll work alongside faculty-artists who are trailblazers in their field. As you become immersed in the contemporary visual culture, you’ll make connections that prepare you for the art world beyond the classroom.

Animation and Motion Media / Art (BA) / Digital Filmmaking / Fine Arts / Graphic Design / Illustration / Interactive Design / Photography / Visual Narrative
