Philip Yenawine, former education director at the Museum of Modern Art and co-creator of the Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) curriculum, discusses his new book, Visual Thinking Strategies for Preschool. This most recent of Yenawine’s series of publications on VTS illustrates how teachers can add visual thinking strategies to their existing curriculum to encourage language, critical thinking, and social skills for children ages three to five.

Yenawine will describe how using art and other visual experiences create engaging and powerful learner-centered environments for young children as they begin their formal school experience.
