Make a difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder.
Improve your understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and learn to implement your knowledge for change in the school, home, and community. In this 12-credit certificate program, you’ll study a curriculum that focuses on the roles and choices of family members, friends, allies, and advocates who support children with ASD.
Courses are structured to move from an exploration of advocacy, behavior, quality of life, the criminal justice system, and transition to adulthood to a call for action by allies and advocates in each of these areas.
The program includes short field assignments that give you the hands-on experience you need for success. Studying the latest research means you’ll have tools that will make a difference.
In its convenient online format, this program gives you the flexibility to study when and where you want, with interactive elements that keep you connected to a supportive virtual community. And with access to the latest online learning tools and educational resources, you can be sure you’re getting everything a Lesley education has to offer.
Please note: this program does not lead to an autism endorsement in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
