Diane Wilcox

Independent Living Advisor, Threshold Program

Diane is an Independent Living Advisor for the Threshold Program.  She has been with the Threshold Program since 1999.  She has combined her work here with 30+ years advocating for, and with, young adults aging out of the foster care system.  Diane's focus has always been one of supporting clients and students to achieve goals of independence and self sufficiency, allowing the degree of independence they can manage while providing emotional support they need.

As an Independent Living Advisor in the Transition Year Program, Diane fosters independence by strengthening skills in money management, meal planning & preparation, apartment maintenance, conflict resolution with roommates, and structuring free time, while promoting health, safety, and balance in all aspects of their lives. At Lesley, she teaches the following courses: Bridge Cooking, Advanced Independent Living Skills, and Transition Year ILA.

She holds a BA from Tufts University.
