Cambridge Classrooms

The Labs & Classrooms Office at University Technology oversees the installation, maintenance, and support of the classroom Audio/Visual technology which includes, but is not limited to projection, media playback, data connectivity, and computing devices.

To find out exactly what components are found in each room, please refer to these resources:

  • Registrar (facilities listing and/or WebViewer)
    --- Contains information on room availability and amenities in each room.
  • Lesley Labs & Classrooms Office
    • Status & Conditions Report --- Check here for the most current conditions of the cambridge classrooms.
      *we employ a team of devoted student staff who continually report outages, repairs, anomalies, etc to our office throughout the day. Their findings are noted in this table on a regular basis.
    • Room Technology Inventory (complete) --- Check here for a comprehensive list of all of the UT supported classrooms and the compatible/installed technologies in these spaces. -- This is our operational list of classroom technologies and is updated regularly.

Computing Areas

In this section you will find information about locations of computer labs and kiosks in addition to statistics such type of machine and software available.
Every computer lab and digital classroom on campus comes with at LEAST these minimum specifications:

  • Operating system:
    • MacOSX (10.5+), Win7 (SP1+)
  • Internet Access
  • Microsoft Office Suite (2007/2008)
    • Includes: Word, Powerpoint, Excel
  • Universal Media Playback (VLC)**
    • iTunes/Quicktime (Mac)
    • Windows Media Player (Win)
  • Universal Internet Browser (Firefox)
    • Optional: Safari (Mac)
    • Optional: Internet Explorer (Win)
    • Plugins: Flash, Java RE, Microsoft Silverlight
  • Internet/Web Apps:
    • AIM
    • Yahoo! Messenger
    • MSN Messenger (Win)
    • Adium (Mac)
    • Google Earth
  • Educational Software:
    • Inspiration
    • Kidspiration
    • Stationery Studio
    • TimeLiner
