Yellow Ribbon Program

Veterans, earn your degree for free at Lesley!

Take advantage of generous scholarship dollars available from Lesley through the Yellow Ribbon program.

Want to make a difference in people’s lives – as a teacher, a counselor, a non-profit executive, or an environmental activist? At Lesley University you can choose from multiple programs offered in a variety of locations and delivery formats including:

  • Cambridge
  • Boston
  • Las Vegas
  • Tacoma, WA
  • Online

Who is eligible?

Through the Yellow Ribbon program, eligible veterans, or their dependents, may qualify for substantial tuition discounts. When combined with Lesley scholarship grants, you may be able to earn your degree for free.

  • Under the benefits established by the new Post-9/11 GI Bill, veterans who served at least 90 days active duty after Sept. 11, 2001 may be eligible to receive tuition benefits
  • Veterans who served at least 36 months since Sept. 11, 2001 may qualify for free tuition, via scholarship dollars provided by Lesley, through the Yellow Ribbon program
  • Free tuition may also be available to veterans who served at least 30 continuous days after Sept. 11, 2001 and were honorably discharged for a service-related injury
  • Dependents eligible for Transfer of Entitlement under the Post-9/11 GI Bill based on the veteran’s service and the eligibility criteria listed above

When will funds be available?

Payment for benefits from the Post-9/11 GI Bill begins Aug. 1, 2009. The U.S. Department of Veterans affairs may also provide a housing allowance and a stipend for books and supplies for eligible veterans.
