A Little About Lesley Athletics

Conference

Lesley University belongs to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC), and is subject to all rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA for Division III schools.

Philosophy

A large focus of our athletic program is the scholar athlete. The ideal participant in any of Lesley's varsity teams is someone committed both to excelling in academics and athletics. The most successful scholar athletes have an equal emphasis on both.

A goal for our varsity athletic program is to provide students with an array of challenging intercollegiate experiences. As a competitive NCAA Division III program, Lesley varsity athletes experience real playing time with other New England college teams. Lesley teams have been highly competitive in NAC conference play. Lesley's crew team now holds a guaranteed entry to the annual Head of the Charles Regatta, an event that draws crew teams from hundreds of colleges across the country.

To maintain the strength of the program, students are strongly encouraged to maintain their training in the off-season. Athletic teams have extensive pre- and post-season activities that focus on skill building and personal training.
