Residence Halls

Doble Hall is also home to our academic centers and student services. Our Information Commons, Center for Academic Achievement, Career Resource Center, Counseling Center, Community Service Center, Fitness Center, and athletic training rooms are all located on the lower levels of the hall.

Located in the heart of Doble Quad, you’ll enjoy the closest access to many amenities if you live in MacKenzie Hall. It’s also home to the McKenna Student Center, a café, Student Health Services, and the Copy-Mail Center.

First-year and upperclass students live together in Malloch Hall, which also houses offices for Athletics and Student Activities on the first floor.

Located directly above the dining commons in the Doble Quad, White Hall is a three-story community of first-year and upperclass students.

Winthrop Hall is a beautiful stone Victorian-Gothic building located on South Campus with double and triple rooms.

Located in the Doble Quad, Wolfard Hall is also home to Marran Theater, Marran Gallery, Public Safety, and classroom and computer lab space. As a resident, you’ll enjoy many undergraduate activities and services nearby.

Living at 1 Wendell means convenient access to many retail shops, including the Hi-Rise Bread Company, which is located on the Massachusetts Avenue side of the building.

Kidder House is a three-story historic brick building within short walking distance to the Doble Campus.

Located on 14 Wendell Street, Compass House has a full-size kitchen with a table, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator, as well as a lounge with chairs, couches, and cable TV. Each floor has a shared bathroom.

Kirkland House, one of our smaller residences, is located at 61 Oxford Street, a few houses from the Doble Quad.

Mellen House is made up of primarily double rooms, with one single and one triple unit available.

The first floor of Wendell House has two handicap-accessible double rooms and a fully accessible private bathroom. The second and third floors are each made up of double and single rooms.

3 Wendell House, a Victorian row house for upperclass students and transfers, has 14 double rooms, a small second floor study room, and a ground floor lounge. This hall shares facilities with 1 Wendell Street so that students can do laundry and take advantage of other amenities.

As our smallest residence, Rousmaniere House has a real home-like feel with room for 13 students on its two floors.

Love recreation, sports and the outdoors? Then Lawrence Hall is the perfect home for you. You’ll bond with other students that enjoy the same activities as you, whether it’s going on daily runs, creating intramural teams, or playing Frisbee on Cambridge Commons. You’ll also be able to work with your Community Advisor to create group trips to sporting events and recreation areas in the Boston area. 

If maintaining a healthy mind-body-spirit lifestyle is more your thing, you’ll love living at Kirkland House. You’ll enjoy a large kitchen space where you can make healthy community meals. Past programs have included visits from health experts, yoga instructors, and Lesley University professors.

We have two great housing opportunities if you’re looking for a substance-free lifestyle. You’ll work with your Community Advisor to create healthy substance-free alternatives through hall events and activities. Some programs have included dinner and mocktails, 1960s themed open-mic night, and trips to the farmers market in Harvard Square.

Are quiet study time and good sleep among your top priorities at Lesley? If so, consider living at 35 Mellen House. You and your housemates (as well as any guests) will be mindful while playing music or watching TV, and also keep from having loud conversations in common areas. Social interaction is not restricted in this hall, with many programs planned each semester.

If you’re the kind of person who’s always helping someone in need, living in one of our Community Service halls may be right for you. You’ll work side-by-side with your neighbors on service projects, both within and outside the Lesley community. You aren’t committed to a particular amount of community service, although it is expected that you’ll be an active participant in the goals of your hall. Past programs have included working with Lesley Delivers and the Community Service Office. 

If you have a passion for the arts, whether it’s visual or performance, you’ll enjoy living in one of these communities. Some past programs have included student art shows, museum visits, trips to the Theater District and open-mic nights.

Compass Hall and Rousmaniere House are two great options if you’re interested in a quieter community where you can engage peers in their studies. You’ll also be able to plan and participate in events on campus that evoke thought and conversation. Community Advisors will work with you to invite faculty members to participate in hall programs throughout the academic year.
