National Survey of Student Engagement
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) was inaugurated in 2000, and developed partly in response to regulatory and compliance processes, as well as the reputational ranking surveys (e.g., US News). Since that time more than 1200 colleges and universities in the US and Canada have participated. NSSE queries first-year and senior students directly about the quality of their undergraduate experiences, targeting those behaviors and experiences that research has shown to be related to high quality student outcomes. NSSE summaries of survey results aim to assist participating institutions and their faculty in using their NSSE results to improve policies and practices that will increase the quality of undergraduate student experiences and engagement. Consistent with our commitment to better serve our students and to improve their educational experiences in Lesley, we have chosen to participate in NSSE since 2007.
