Collaborative Internship Programs
The real test of a Lesley education comes when you stand in front of a classroom.
Lesley University's affiliations with six private day schools and the Brookline, Newton, and Needham Public Schools offer the opportunity for those who want to become teachers to spend the full day in a classroom setting in conjunction with taking graduate courses after the school day. Courses, which lead to a Master's degree in education and an initial teaching license, are held on the Lesley campus in Cambridge and at the affiliated school. View more information about the Collaborative Internship Programs.
Under the supervision of experienced mentor teachers, student-teacher interns are actively involved in the classroom, developing interdisciplinary curriculum, teaching various disciplines, participating in student-parent conferences, and joining in many school activities.
